Query Builder for Injury Inpatient Hospital Discharge Query Module for Kentucky Counties and Local Health Districts - Median Length of Stay

Overview

The inpatient discharge data in this IBIS-Q query module come from all Kentucky licensed hospitals, with the exception of Veterans Administration hospitals. The database is maintained by the Kentucky Hospital Association, under contract with the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services, Office of Health Policy.

ICD-9 Injury Data

This IBIS-PH module queries injury data only. Data in this module are consistent with the injury case definitions found in the Consensus Recommendations for Using Hospital Discharge Data for Injury Surveillance (2003) developed by the State and Territorial Injury Program Directors Association (STIPDA) Injury Surveillance Workgroup.

Getting Started

Follow the steps to narrow your query and display your results. When you are done forming your query, click "Submit" bottom of the screen (last step) to get your query result.
  • What year grouping do you want to select? Default is single years, most recent year.







  • First choose a coding scheme to use for causes of Hospitalization. (Default is all causes.)






  • Select from list of intentions

  • First choose a coding scheme to use for age groups.(Default is age adjustment age groups, all ages.)

  • Would you like to include only males or only females in the results? Default includes both sexes.

  • What residency status would you like to include? Default includes all Kentucky residents.


  • First choose a geography type. Default is all Kentucky residents, regardless of place of death.

The data and information provided through the Query System are intended to support any individuals or entities engaged in activities designed solely to enhance the well-being of a specific community, which may include the State.
