Query Builder for Injury Mortality ICD-10 Query Module - Age-adjusted Rates, Deaths Per 100,000 Population

Mortality Data

The mortality data in this KY-IBIS query module have been derived from death certificates in participation with the National Vital Statistics System, and are maintained and provided by the Vital Statistics Branch, Division of Epidemiology and Health Planning, Kentucky Department for Public Health. They include virtually all deaths of Kentucky residents, regardless of where the death occurred. The causes of death were coded using International Classification of Diseases (ICD) codes.

PROVISIONAL Data

Data files for 2009 and later have not yet been declared final for reporting purposes by the Vital Statistics Branch of the Kentucky Department for Public Health. Results for 2009 and later years are therefore provisional and subject to change as updated files become available for use in IBIS-PH. Users should keep this in mind and should mention this when redistributing results obtained from this query module for years 2009 and later.

ICD-10 Injury Data

This KY-IBIS module queries injury data only. Data in this module are consistent with the External Cause of Injury Mortality Matrix for ICD-10 found on the NCHS website at http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/ice/icd10_transcode.pdf
